This restaurant is single-handedly the best Italian restaurant in South Orange County and I've tried them all. The food is amazing, the staff is ultra friendly, it's got a really great vibe. I've driven by it 1 million times and thought I should go in there and try it sometime, but it didnt look like much from the front, we were actually super surprised to see how cool it was inside when we finally did decide to give it a chance and have been back twice in a couple of weeks. Last night we were lucky enough to have Harrison take care of us, he was ultra attentive and super funny, we had a great time, BUT everyone was looking out for us, regularly picking up dishes, the service is top notch! My husband's originally from the Chicago area so he has really high standards when it comes to Italian food, he loves his place as much as I do. We will absolutely become regulars here. Go early, it fills up fast!! Good job team Romano Cucina, we you!

Aidan was an awesome server. He seemed like he genuinely cared about his customers. I had the lemon cream shrimp fettuccini and my girlfriend had the shrimp scampi spicy rosa penne. Both dishes were delicious! Pictures don't do it justice, I had a ton of shrimp hiding throughout the dish. The bread came out piping hot which was awesome! Only took about 15 minutes for our food to he served after being placed, and the place was packed! This restaurant really knows how to treat their customers. The place is on the smaller side, so it has a very homey feel. The walls are lined with really cool old timey pictures but they still have a few wide screen tv's. They have a bar which looked really nice too.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Family oriented. Needed more old school music, but otherwise it was nice change of pace.

When I first walked into this dimly lit restaurant, I was immediately greeted with a warm smile by the lovely staff up front. My friend and I placed our names down, and the wait was about 20 minutes. Glancing through the menu, I settled on the pasta Gianni with fettuccine while my friend chose the primavera aglio olio with spaghetti. We were also served some bread as an appetizer. Our server, Sam, was extremely friendly and easygoing, offering plenty of suggestions and being very patient. While waiting for our pasta, I enjoyed looking around at the endless picture frames decorating the walls. The whole ambiance of the restaurant was homey and cozy, like dining at your grandma's house. When our pasta arrived, I was pleased to see that the portion size matched the price. Digging into the fettuccine, I found the pasta perfectly cooked to al dente. However, flavor-wise, it was on the blander side. The sauce had a tasty spice, and I liked that there were plenty of shrimp and crawfish, but I wished for more flavor overall. Despite this, the meal was still quite delicious, and I would definitely want to revisit for the cozy vibes and to try their lasagna.
